Blog Summary

When the FIFA World Cup 2026™ comes to the Pacific Northwest, the energy won’t stop at the stadium gates—and it definitely won’t stop in Seattle. Just an hour scenic ferry ride away (or 30-min foot ferry ride!), Downtown Bremerton is stepping into the global spotlight as an Official SeattleFWC26 Fan Zone host, offering fans a vibrant, immersive, and distinctly local way to experience the tournament.

Whether you already have accommodations in Seattle, are hopping between match days, or are simply looking for a place to soak up the tournament atmosphere without the crowds, the Bremerton Fan Zone is designed to be your go-to summer destination.

What Is the Bremerton Fan Zone?

Think of the Bremerton Fan Zone as your local front-row seat to the tournament—no stadium ticket required.

Bremerton was selected as one of just nine Official SeattleFWC26 Fan Zones in Washington State, which means our downtown will host a series of officially recognized tournament watch parties. But the Fan Zone is more than a watch party. It’s a multi-week celebration that blends global soccer with local culture, food, entertainment, and community.

And we’re going above and beyond to create a Bremerton Fan Zone experience packed full of unique activities, additional watch parties, and plenty of summer programming throughout the duration of the world competition! You want summer vibes and experiences you can tell your friends about? Downtown Bremerton has you covered!

Why Visit Bremerton During the Tournament?

If you’re staying in Seattle for the matches, Bremerton offers something different: space to breathe, room to explore, and a chance to experience the region beyond the stadium.

Just a short ferry ride away, downtown Bremerton delivers:

  • A walkable waterfront district with free and easily accessible parks

  • Local restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops

  • Art, history, and maritime culture

  • Our Fan Zones are thoughtfully planned to provide unique and interactive experiences.

Getting Here from Seattle

Getting to the Bremerton Fan Zone from Seattle is part of the experience. Downtown Bremerton is easily accessible by ferry, making it an ideal day trip—or overnight stay—for soccer fans looking to explore beyond the stadium.

  • Washington State Ferries provide a more scenic crossing across Puget Sound, welcoming both walk-on passengers and vehicles and offering iconic waterfront views along the way.

  • Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry offers a quick, passenger-only trip from downtown Seattle to Bremerton, perfect for fitting in a Fan Zone event between match days.

Both ferry options arrive just steps from downtown Bremerton, putting Quincy Square, restaurants, shops, and waterfront attractions within easy walking distance.

And our transit partners are making it easier during the tournament to travel—with extra sailings and easier payment methods!

The Venue | Quincy Square

All Bremerton Fan Zone events take place in Quincy Square, a revitalized public plaza that is managed and programmed year-round by the DBA (that’s us!). Throughout the tournament, the plaza will be closed to car traffic and transformed into a fully activated event space designed specifically for gathering, celebrating, and staying awhile.

What to Expect at the Fan Zone

Quincy Square will feature:

  • A 20-foot LED screen for premier, large-scale match viewing

  • Bleacher seating positioned in front of the permanent bandstand stage

  • An expanded outdoor alcohol service area including all of Quincy Square as a “libation zone” or “sip and stroll” area (made possible by the new Washington State Law HB 1515). This means that you can buy a beer from stadium-style concessions and walk around the entire Square without being limited to inside a designated beer garden area.

  • Each event will have at least two food trucks and a snack vendor.

  • Inflatable games (soccer themed) and other activities.

This festival-style setup creates a welcoming, all-ages environment that feels high-energy but easygoing—perfect for longtime fans, casual viewers, families, and visitors alike.

More Than Match Days: A Downtown Worth Exploring

The Fan Zone experiences will extend well beyond the Seattle-hosted match dates. Between games, visitors will find additional watch parties, festivals, and community events designed to keep downtown Bremerton active throughout the tournament. One particular event you might want to attend is the Bremerton Beer Festival!

  • June 21, 2026 | Bremerton Beer Festival

    • Event Time | 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    • A ticketed, 21+ event featuring hyper-local breweries and cideries, food vendors, and live entertainment. Beer—like soccer—is a universal language, and this event offers visitors a taste of the region’s craft culture while streaming soccer matches.

  • Bremerton Beer Festival After Party

    • Event Time | 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

    • Immediately following the Bremerton Beer Festival, this free community event opens the space to everyone. While most festival vendors will be wrapping up, four select breweries/cideries (TBD) will remain on-site offering bottles/cans and remaining draft pours during After Party hours.

Watch parties are also planned for final-round matches, with details to be announced as the tournament schedule is finalized.
