We’re streamlining the way our community gets involved. Rather than meeting separately and repeating updates, we’re creating a single collaborative space where members, businesses, partners, and community champions can work side-by-side toward meaningful downtown goals.
Our committee meets once a month and is focused on big picture projects from event planning and promotion, building community relationships, fundraising efforts, and general ideation.
All are welcome to join; whether you have years of experience in these elements or are hoping to learn and gain valuable insights, there's space at the table for you.
Based on the Main Street Approach®
The Main Street Approach® is a unique preservation-based economic development tool that enables communities to revitalize downtown and neighborhood business districts by leveraging local assets – from historic, cultural, and architectural resources to local enterprises and community pride.
As a Main Street Community, the Main Street Four Points - Outreach, Promotions, Design, and Economic Vitality - guide the work of the Downtown Bremerton Association.
Participate in special projects
How It Works
Each month, we'll meet for Team Bremerton meetings to collaborate in-person. Held at 5:30pm every 3rd Tuesday at Cups Espresso & Café.
Each quarter, we’ll focus on one special project — something that advances Downtown Bremerton using the 4 Points of the Main Street Approach.
This lets every member contribute according to their interest, experience, or skillset. Whether someone loves graphic design, marketing, business strategy, community organizing, or public art — there’s a place for them in the process.
Outreach
Ensuring broad community engagement, building leadership and capacity, and forging partnerships across sectors
Design
Creating an inviting atmosphere, celebrating historic character, and fostering people-centered public spaces.
Promotion
Marketing downtown's defining assets, communicating unique features through storytelling, and supporting a buy-local experience
Economic Vitality
Building a diverse economic base, catalyzing smart new investment, and cultivating a strong entrepreneurship ecosystem
