Meet Carly Denesson
Q: What drew you to your medium?
A: Being an artist all my life I have always had the dream of that being my sole profession, but everyone says you’ll always be a starving artist. Therefore, I try to make each art piece useful, such as staying warm with a colorful sweatshirt, accessorizing your puppy best friend, or giving a hand painted greeting card to a loved one. People are more likely to buy art for others than themselves. Along with that theory, I have been drawn to color my whole life and love to play with new combinations.
Q: What is your favorite local spot?
A: Ashley’s Pub for a fun night out and Yoko Yoko Ramen for yummy dinner!
Q: Where do you find inspiration?
A: In nature. I love the change of colors as things grow and pass, such as the moss on trees glowing in the sun, the way a plant might choose to bloom, or the repetitive patterns you can find. I also have a puppy that inspires me and brings so much joy to each day.
