Meet Tristine Marie Studio

Tristine Marie Studio

Q: What inspires you about Bremerton?

A: I moved here over 2 years ago with my now fiancée and dog son, Pogy, and discovered the vastness of Bremerton. Coming from a small town in Whidbey Island, I was thrilled to find a thriving art scene. Connecting with other artists has been incredibly fulfilling, and I’m grateful to be part of such a vibrant community.

Q: What drew you to your medium?

A: I create digital art, and I’ve grown to love the freedom and flexibility it offers. Being constantly on the go, my iPad and Apple Pencil with Procreate have become my go-to tools. In the past, I worked with sharpie markers, colored pencils, and acrylic paints.

Q: What’s your favorite local spot?

A:  Bubz!! I’m a boba enthusiast, so I’m thrilled to have found a boba place that I truly adore 💕 I’ve been a fan since they first opened. I also enjoy Fingers Duke and Oishii.

Q: Where do you find inspiration?

A: My work is influenced by graffiti lettering, Japanese kawaii style, and Alebrijes (Mexican Folk Art of mystical creatures). I love using bold lines and bright colors, often incorporating unique patterns. Artists like James Jean, Takashi Murakami, and Mike Shinoda inspire me.

Q: What does your perfect First Friday like?

A: For me, the perfect First Friday involves connecting with fellow artists, creatives, and business owners. I enjoy being in a space where everyone can relax, enjoy a beverage, and engage in meaningful conversations. That’s the vibe I’m all about!

Q:  Where can we see more of your art?

A: You can find more of my work on all social platforms @tristinemarie. It’s pronounced “tris-ten,” in case anyone’s wondering haha. Come hang out with me there! Thank you for letting me share and for being part of this incredible community 🫶🏼
