Artist Interview: Theo Ludwig

Meet Artist Theo Ludwig- Owner of Teddy Bears Beads!

Q: What inspires you about Bremerton? 

A: What inspires me about Bremerton is the sense of community that embraces anyone and everyone who spend time here. I believe that to be known is to be loved , and I have never once felt like a stranger here. 

Q: What drew you to your medium? 

A:  About 10 years ago I worked at an overnight-camp as a camp counselor and one of my favorite crafts to do with my kids were pony bead pets! In 2023 I set out to re-teach myself the process and I fell into the most wonderful YouTube rabbit-hole that has since led me into beading! 

Q: What is your favorite local spot? 

A: My favorite local spots are tied between The Charleston and American Doughnut Makers! 

Q: Where do you find inspiration? 

A: I find inspiration most often from the sky and the sea, and especially the way the sun affects them. 

Q: What does your perfect First Friday look like? 

A: My perfect first Friday looks like setting up my table early so I get the chance to walk around and grab a bite to eat from Cups before heading back to meet all of my wonderful community! Afterwards I ALWAYS stay up for late night donuts at American Donut Makers!

Q: Where can we find more of your wok? 

A: I sell my creations on my independent site tbbeads.square.site, I vend at locations around kitsap on a monthly/rotating basis, and I also have a Facebook and instagram (@teddy.bears.beads)
