Meet Katelyn and Joe Downing - AKA - The Downing Duo! 

Q: What inspires you about Bremerton?

A: What inspires me about Bremerton is the sense of close-knit community and the opportunity it offers to make a meaningful difference. Additionally, the openness of local businesses to support creative endeavors, like filming, adds to its charm and potential for growth.

Q: What drew you to your medium?

A: What drew me to my medium is the profound ability to tell stories that resonate with people and inspire them to progress in their own journeys. Whether through filmmaking or acting, I'm driven by the power of storytelling to provoke thought and challenge perceptions. This aspect of the craft is what truly captivates and fuels my passion.

Q: What is your local favorite spot?

A: My favorite local spot is Evergreen Park. It's where my family and I cherish moments together, surrounded by the calming presence of water and the joy of watching our daughter play freely.

Q: Where do you find inspiration?

A: I find inspiration in community stories. Our current film, for instance, draws its inspiration from specific events within our community that have deeply resonated with me. These narratives fuel my creativity and passion for storytelling.

Q: What does your perfect First Friday look like?

A: My perfect First Friday entails starting the evening with a cozy coffee outing, followed by leisurely strolls through the open shops, soaking in the local atmosphere. Finally, returning home to cap off the night with a movie marathon alongside my family completes the ideal experience.
