Meet Artist Kyle Wisser

Kyle Wisser

Q: What drew you to your medium?

A: Right now my medium of choice is watercolor, but I think my medium highly depends on what I want to play with. Watercolor is fun for me because it’s a challenge and something I'm not really used to. Before watercolor I really enjoyed working with graphite. I like graphite a lot because of the ability to blend all the grey. Life feels like that at times, blending a bunch of black and white and finding the balance of the grey.

Q: Where do you find your inspiration?

A: Frogs would be the obvious answer, but more specifically the imperfect image of frogs and toads. They’ve got lumps and bumps and are kind of weird looking.

Q: What is your favorite local spot?

A: Saboteur Bakery. Oh how am I an addict for those pastries. Get there early though because they sell out quickly!

Q: What does your perfect First Friday look like?

A: Setting up with a nice coffee and pastry, then having a good time chatting with people about frogs!

Q: Where can we find more of your art?

A: My art is on my website www.toadaroni.com or my instagram @toadaroni. I’m also starting to sell in local shops in the area!

Are you an artist interested in sharing your work with the community?
