Meet Jacquelyn Speare

Jacquelyn Speare

Q: What inspires you about Bremerton? A: I grew up in the Coast Guard, I love being near the salt water and seeing the mountains everyday. Bremerton feels like home to me. This is my 6th year living here and I am still meeting new artists! I love it! It is easy to get involved in our community and make cool things happen. I encourage everyone to do one volunteer thing, collectively it makes a big impact!

Q: Where do you find inspiration?  A: I find inspiration in nature, the rhythm of the seasons, and in my daily life. I am a creative in every way, crafting a home, gardening, making and fixing things. Creating is the way I live, I make art every chance I get. I am drawn to print making because of it’s hands on process and it is an affordable art form - creating multiple originals allows you to sell work for an affordable price, and that is important to me, everyone should have a little hand made goodness in their home.

Q: Where can we find more of your art?  A: Follow me @jacquelynspeare on Instagram.
