What To Expect

Get ready for the ultimate summer movie experience right here in downtown Bremerton! Movies in the Square is a 6-week outdoor film series packed with family-friendly feature films, interactive pre-show entertainment, and delicious local treats. This year, we are thrilled to team up with the West Sound Film Festival to elevate our screenings. Every event kicks off with exclusive indie short films and previews curated by the festival team, followed by the main feature on our massive outdoor screen!

BYOCP | Bring your own Chair and Picnic

Settle into Quincy Square with your comfiest camping chair or a cozy blanket from home and create your own perfect picnic setup. Pack your favorite snacks, takeout from a nearby restaurant, or a full spread to share with friends and family. Arrive early to claim a great spot, get comfortable as the sun goes down, and then tune in to our programming under the open sky. Alcoholic beverages may be consumed in the designated areas at surrounding businesses; please consult those businesses for more details.

The Movie

Get ready to blast off into outer space for next week’s Movies in the Square! Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy brings a wildly entertaining mix of sci-fi action, hilarious comedy, and cosmic adventure to Quincy Square. The story follows Peter Quill (a.k.a. Star-Lord), an irreverent space adventurer who finds himself hunted by the fanatical villain Ronan after stealing a mysterious, high-powered orb. To survive and save the universe from destruction, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with an eccentric team of misfits: green-skinned assassin Gamora, vengeful warrior Drax the Destroyer, weapon-toting genetically engineered Rocket Raccoon, and the lovable tree-like humanoid Groot.

Fueled by an iconic, chart-topping 1970s mixtape soundtrack, this modern superhero classic is packed with explosive visual effects, razor-sharp wit, and a deeply moving story about found family. Whether you are hooked on a feeling or experiencing it for the first time, watching these galactic heroes on the big screen under the stars is an absolute blast! The Venue

Quincy Square is Downtown Bremerton’s newest public plaza and cultural hub located just a few blocks from the Seattle-Bremerton Ferry Terminal. 

This revitalized street plaza offers flexible, active space to create, connect, and celebrate, from cultural programming to intimate concerts and casual get-togethers.
